Mr. Scamardi has handled litigation matters in both State and Federal Courts in over 36 counties throughout the State of Texas. He has participated in over 300 mediations as well as binding and non-binding arbitrations involving a myriad of civil litigation matters. Additionally, Mr. Scamardi has tried to verdict over 65 jury trials in nine different counties throughout the State of Texas. Further, Mr. Scamardi has received the highest individual attorney rating of AV from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Through creative and strategic settlement techniques, Mr. Scamardi has been able to minimize fees and expenses by resolving a vast majority of cases through various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Having utilized so many mediators and arbitrators in various cases, Mr. Scamardi specifically selects the proper mediator /arbitrator for each case taking into consideration the amount in controversy, issues presented, personalities of parties and counsel and other concerns which increases the likelihood of resolution. Further, his skillful drafting of arbitration and settlement documents eliminates additional delays and expenses often associated with enforcement of closing documents or continuation of business demands.
Mr. Scamardi’s experience includes representing clients on both sides of the docket involving a wide range of businesses including, for example, the oil and gas industry, franchised businesses, real estate developers, landlord/tenant disputes, insurance and contract issues, construction litigation and many other business matters.
